Phil-Mont welcomes home-schooling families who wish to send their Middle and High School children to select classes. These families follow the same application process as full-time students.
Class size limitations, prerequisites, and academic readiness standards apply. The tuition for a single class is based on the annual full-time tuition rate divided by seven, $1,800 for High School, and $1,500 for Middle School. However, multi-class discounts are available. (For purposes of these tuition calculations, “academic” classes are any Phil-Mont classes other than Art, Choir, Band, Physical Education, or Bible.)
Most High School classes meet four days per week (M-T-Th-F), though some AP and Honors courses meet all five days. On Wednesdays, High School students attend Wednesday Electives (additional fees for part-time students, $250 per class, per semester).
Most core Middle school classes meet 5 times per week.
All classes meet at the same time each day except special event days.
- Children enrolled in two or more courses in grades 6-8 or three or more in grades 9-11 may participate in Phil-Mont’s athletics. Due to PIAA regulations, students in 12th grade must be enrolled as full time students to participate.
- Children enrolled in two or more courses may participate in select Fine Arts Programs & Co-Curricular Activities.
Phil-Mont always invites local home-school families to attend our drama dept’s Matinee Performances. These matinees typically happen on the Wednesdays of a performance week. Sign up to get information as soon as it is available regarding our invitations for Homeschoolers:
